Challenges & Solutions:
Korte Architecture was hired to design a 1-story 5,000 square foot office building with a 2,500 sq. ft. attached warehouse for Becmar Sprinkler Systems, Inc. The new building is located in Woodstock, Illinois.
The building is organized around an atrium space that runs the depth of the building. Clerestory windows allow generous amounts of natural light into the office work space. Corner offices are treated as design elements with floor to ceiling glazing. Clean, simple, flat canopies will provide shading at all windows. Attached, yet separate from the office building is a service/storage building to house vehicles and store materials.
Becmar Sprinkler Systems is a premier landscape irrigation systems supplier and installer. They employ 16 full time staff members and operate 12 installation crews.
